The Starlight Lounge, located in a historic 18th century two-story creole cottage in the heart of the French Quarter, offers a private, second floor exclusively for events. 


The Starlight’s event space can be privately accessed by its own beautiful wooden staircase, leading to the immaculately decorated rooms on the second floor. Rich colors and ornate fabrics complement the artwork that adorns the walls as well as the multiple fireplaces. The balcony, giving views of Bourbon, St. Louis, and Dauphine, allows guests to experience the sites and sounds of New Orleans during your event.


The space at the Starlight provides your guests with a unique event experience in that not only do you have access to the second floor during your event, you and your guests also have access to the live music that our 1st floor venue hosts 7 days a week for no additional cost. (Always local Jazz, Blues, Swing, Piano, R&B, or Americana.)

The Starlight Lounge offers full event planning services, which includes coordinating all elements of your event such as our in-house catering, bar packages, entertainment, florists, and transportation including carriages. If you have an outside caterer we can also accommodate your preference. Venue rental fees may be minimized if you book a food and beverage package through us.


Our in-house caterer can offer a customized menu ranging from light hors d'oeuvres to heavy enough to be considered a meal. A buffet menu is also available and can be combined with passed hors d'oeuvres or used as a stand alone menu. 


Besides the all-inclusive open bar packages we also offer hosted consumption tabs (your guest's drinks would be placed on a tab that you would pay for at the end of the night), a cash bar option (guests pay for their own drinks) or a hybrid of the three, e.g. 2 hours all-inclusive package + 1 hour cash bar.  Please see below for our all-inclusive pricing. All packages include a special craft cocktail created for your event.

Your wedding should be an affair that you will remember for a lifetime. From  elopements to full-scale wedding receptions, the Starlight Lounge can customize a day just for you.

Located with walking distance from many French Quarter hotels, The Starlight is a convenient venue for out-of-town guests.

The Starlight can also host your engagement party, bridal shower, and/or rehearsal dinner. In addition, The Starlight also offers an all-inclusive Elopement Package that includes an officiant to conduct the nuptials.


A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure an event date. You are purchasing a hold on your date with this deposit and no portion is refundable. However, the deposit can be used to book a mutually agreeable date in the future if the original date has to be changed due to a force majeure occurrence.
